Who provides money on loan?

In Ukraine, you can borrow money to your bank card not only from banks but also from microfinance organizations (MFOs), which are becoming increasingly popular. Banks traditionally have stricter requirements for borrowers and longer processing times. MFOs, on the other hand, focus on speed and convenience when submitting a loan application. Both types of institutions operate under the Law of Ukraine “On Consumer Lending”, which regulates the loan issuance process for individuals.

Unlike banks, MFOs use more flexible data-verification models and automated scoring systems, allowing them to provide fast loans to cards with almost no rejections. However, it is important to borrow only from reliable and verified microfinance organizations that comply with NBU Regulation No. 153. Only in this case can the safety and transparency of services be guaranteed. To avoid spending time searching for such organizations, you can use the Portmone service, where all checks have already been completed for you.

What loan amounts are available?

The amount you can borrow depends on the financial institution and your personal credit profile. Banks usually offer larger amounts — from 10,000 to 200,000 UAH — but with strict income and credit-history requirements and more detailed verification. MFOs, on the other hand, focus on simplicity and speed: new clients can receive 500–10,000 UAH, while returning clients may be eligible for up to 50,000 UAH.

The maximum loan amount depends on multiple factors, including age, financial obligations, income level and stability, and credit history.

Can you borrow money with a bad credit history?

If you apply for a loan at a bank with a poor credit history, you will almost certainly be rejected — in 99% of cases. Banks carefully analyze not only overdue payments but also the number of previous loan applications. However, some banks may issue loans to borrowers with problematic credit histories if they provide collateral such as property, land, or a car.

Microfinance organizations are more loyal and less demanding, which allows you to obtain an online microloan even if you have outstanding loans or a low credit score. Moreover, to use MFO services, you typically only need a passport or ID card, a taxpayer identification number, a mobile phone, and a payment card (Visa, Mastercard, or Prostir) issued by any Ukrainian bank.

How to borrow money online?

The loan application process through Portmone is extremely simple:

  1. Open the “Loans” section and select “Apply for a loan”.

  2. Review the offers from available MFOs and choose the one that suits you best. Click “Apply”.

  3. Once the system opens the lender’s official website, log into your account (or register if you are a new user).

  4. Specify the loan parameters (amount, term), fill out the application form, and verify your bank card. Then submit the application for review.

  5. After approval, sign the loan agreement and receive the money on your card (for example, a Visa card from Monobank).

The entire loan application process takes no more than 15–20 minutes, and the funds are usually credited within minutes.

Using our service, you can not only apply for online loans (for example, a student loan or a loan via BankID) but also pay for a variety of services — utility bills, mobile top-ups, and more. You can always count on high transaction speed, maximum security, and reliable customer support.
